Mae Beatrice Pounds, daughter of Henning and Elin Maria (Gustafdotter) Larson, was born May 16, 1924 at Delphos, Kansas. She passed from this life Saturday, April 4, 2009 at the Sunset Nursing Center, Concordia, at the age of 84 years. Mae was united in marriage to Lennis A. Pounds on April 2, 1945 in Delphos. He preceded her in death on April 13, 1994. She was a homemaker and a member of Trinity Methodist Church. Mae was also preceded in death by her parents and sisters Lillie Johnson, Ruth Larson, and Margaret Rice. She will be forever remembered by her daughter Linda Culley and husband John and son Lyle and wife Marcia all of Concordia; grandchildren, Kristen (Terry) Peltier, Bradly (Kim) Culley, Nathan (Tara) Culley, Lindsey, Jacob, and Jesse Pounds; great grandchildren, Ben & Tim Peltier, Sydney Culley, Naomi, Seth, and Anna Culley; other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Tuesday, April 7, 2009 at Trinity United Methodist Church, Concordia, KS with Pastor L. Dean Thompson officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Concordia. Memorials may be made to the church. Visitation will be Monday at the funeral home where family will great friends from 6:30 to 8:30pm.  The family suggests memorials to the Trinity United Methodist Church.
