Mamie E. Aldridge was born on March 25, 1940 in Concordia, KS to Ray and Jearl (Kennedy) Thoman. She passed from this life on Saturday, November 29, 2008 at Cloud County Health Center, Concordia, KS at the age of 68. She attended schools in Concordia. She married Delmar D. Aldridge on Jan. 16, 1959 in Concordia, KS. He preceded her in death on Sept. 12, 2005. She was a homemaker, child care provider and a clerk at the Catholic Thrift Shop in Concordia. She was a member of American Legion Post #76 Ladies Auxiliary. She is survived by her daughters, JoDee Ball & husband Bruce, Belleville, KS & Kim Mathews & husband Chuck, Concordia, KS; a son, Rocky Aldridge & wife Bonnie, Tacoma, WA; her brothers, Ted Thoman, Concordia, KS, Wilfred Thoman & wife Jane, Jamestown, KS, Austin Thoman & wife Beverly, Concordia, KS, Boyd Thoman & wife Linda, Concordia, KS, Larry Thoman & wife Lori, Toolele, UT; a sister, Shirley Davis, Concordia, KS; 9 grandchildren & 2 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Delmar; a son-Robert Ray Aldridge; her Parents; sisters-Jeniece Phelps, Geneva Nordquist, Phyllis Franks, Cleo Dykes & Joyce Hanson & brothers-Wayne, Myron, Lloyd, Orland & Bobby Thoman. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2008 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia with Rev. Dean R. Frazier officiating. Burial will follow the services at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Concordia. Visitation will be from 10 AM to 9 PM with the family greeting friends from 7-8 PM, Mon., Dec. 1, 2008 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home. The family suggests memorials to the Mamie Aldridge Memorial Fund.
