Marc A. Henry, age 48, left this earthly life on Monday, June 11, 2018 at Ottawa County Health Center, Minneapolis, KS.  He was born on June 29, 1969 in Salina, KS to Darwin & Mary L. (Ash) Henry.

Marc graduated from Salina Central High School.  Marc served in the National Guard in the Army and Marine Corp. as a military police officer and retired from the Guard in 2015.  He had over 20 years of military experience and served 10 years of active duty.  Marc also worked for the Clay Center Police Dept. & the Clay Co. Sheriff's office. He began working at the Concordia Police Dept. in 2012 and was currently a Senior officer with the department.  Marc married Lisa Strauss on Feb. 5, 2017 in Concordia.  Marc enjoyed riding his motorcycle, playing golf, scuba diving, tinkering around the house, playing with his 'gadgets', going to the range but especially loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Lisa, Concordia; son, Johnnie Mastin (fiancé Haley Swenson), Concordia; daughter, Jordan Champlin (Alec), Concordia; grandson, Coen Champlin, Concordia; father, Darwin Henry (Nadine), Salina; mother, Mary Lynn Henry, Salina; sister, Josie Allen (Andrew), Concordia; brother, Ron Henry (Regina), Salina & his niece & nephew, Jessica & Tyler Henry, Salina.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents & a niece, Faith Allen.

We will celebrate Marc's life on Friday, June 15, 2018 at 10:00 am at The Brown Grand Theatre, Concordia.  In honor of Marc, the family requests, if possible, that you wear something blue to the funeral.  Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Concordia with full military honors conducted by the Kansas National Guard.  Visitation will be Thurs., June 14, 2018 from 1-9 pm with the family greeting friends from 6-7 pm all at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia.  The family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers, that memorials are made to the O'Connor Animal Shelter or the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home.  For online condolences, please visit www.chaputbuoy.com.
