Marcella A. Gallagher was born in Macyville, KS to Henry H. and Alma Bombardier Odette. She passed from this life on Friday, August 22, 2008 at Mt. Joseph Senior Community, Concordia, KS at the age of 94. She graduated from Concordia High School. She married Lloyd J. Gallagher on Aug. 7, 1933 in Jamestown, KS. He preceded her in death on March 17, 1995. She and Lloyd lived in Colorado for 7 years before returning to Concordia. She worked for the Gallagher Meat Packing and then went to work for Boogaarts until her retirement in 1979. She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. She is survived by her sons, Jerry Gallagher and wife Mary Jane, Concordia, KS, Larry Gallagher and wife Connie, Clyde, KS, and Greg Gallagher and wife Annette, Concordia, KS; daughters, Johnita Courville and husband Don, Concordia, KS and Jean Bohm and husband Harold, Ft. Morgan, CO; 13 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Lloyd; her parents; a sister, Romella Shoemaker; brothers, Aldimore and Ernest Odette and a great grandchild, Tess Gallagher. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, September 2, 2008 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Concordia with Rev. Barry Brinkman officiating. Visitation will be held from 12-9 PM with a vigil service at 6:30 PM, Monday, September 1, 2008 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home. Burial will follow the mass at St. Concordia Cemetery, Concordia, KS. The family suggests memorials to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church or Meadowlark Hospice.
