Margaret L. Derusseau, age 90, lifelong Clyde resident, entered into rest, Sunday, April 11, 2021 at the Cloud County Health Center, Concordia, Kansas.  She was born November 14, 1930 in Clyde, Kansas to Leonard and Bessie (Douglas) Buck.

Margaret was a 1948 graduate of Clyde High School.

On June 12, 1954 she married George F. "Dale" Derusseau in Clyde, Kansas.  To this union 3 sons were born, Michael, Douglas, and Kenneth.  Dale preceded her in death on March 7, 2011.

Margaret worked as a telephone operator, a cook at the Clyde High School, Sandy's Café and Southside Café and for many years was a cook for the residents at Park Villa Nursing Home.

Margaret enjoyed cooking, puzzles, flowers, KU Basketball, and most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Margaret is survived by her 3 sons, Michael Derusseau and wife Cindy, Douglas Derusseau, and Kenneth Derusseau  all of Clyde, Kansas, 2 grandsons, Seth and Zane Derusseau,  a granddaughter, Adrienne Carswell and husband Aaron, 4 great-grandchildren, Elisa Sorell, Duke Derusseau, Camden and Taygen Carswell, several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Dale, parents, Leonard and Bessie,  2 brothers, Kenneth and Leonard Menard,  2 sister-in-laws, Edmae Fojt and Edna Michaud.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 15, 2021 from 1-8 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 6-8 pm at the Chaput Mortuary in Clyde, Kansas.

A Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m., on Friday, April 16, 2021 at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Clyde, Kansas, with Fr. Steven Heina officiating.  Burial will follow in the Mt. Hope Cemetery, Clyde, Kansas.  Family and friends will gather at the Clyde Senior Center for Lunch following the graveside service.
