Marguerite I. Elliott, age 88, died, Sat., Sept. 15, 2012 at Cloud County Health Center , Concordia. She was born on Oct. 12, 1923 in Sidney , NE to Guy & Audrey (Cavins) Buckles. She graduated from Superior , NE High School. She married Carol G. Elliott on Jan. 20, 1944 in Belleville , KS . He preceded her in death on Feb. 15, 1988. She worked as a telephone operator in Florida while Carol served in the US Navy and then moved to Concordia in 1948 when Carol established Elliott Excavating. She was a homemaker and later a receptionist at Mt. Joseph Senior Village . She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church . She is survived by her son, Rodney Elliott (Patti), Concordia; daughter, Carolyn Piper (Duane), Vail, CO; sister, Twila Hessel, Waco, TX, grandchildren, Scott Piper (Sarah), Atlanta, GA, Laura Nelson (Noel) & Stacey Ofstehage (Steve), both of Denver, CO, Melinda Isaacson (Barry), Scandia & Natalie Elliott, NY, NY & great grandchildren, Grady Piper, Mitchell & Madeline Nelson & Nicholas, Phillip & Kevin Thompson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carol; son, Marlin; parents; 4 sisters and 1 brother. Funeral services will be at 10 AM, Thurs, Sept. 20 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home with Rev. Dean R. Frazier officiating. Burial will follow the services at Pleasant Hill Cemetery . Visitation will be from 9 am to 9 pm, with family greeting friends from 7-8 pm Wed. at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials to the Alzheimer's Assoc. in care of the funeral home.
