Marie Marcella (Forgue) Bieker was born Feb. 20, 1924 on the Adams farm 5 miles north and ¾ miles East of Miltonvale, KS to Elie Leonard & Louise Josephine (Bonaly) Forgue. She died on Sat., May 12, 2012 at Cloud County Health Center , Concordia at the age of 88. Marie attended country school. Prior to her marriage she worked at Metz Packing and the Naval Ammunition Depot in Hastings , NE. She married Julius Omer Bieker on April 13, 1948 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Aurora , KS and he preceded her in death on Dec. 31, 2005. They made their home in Concordia since 1952 where she provided in home daycare and was a homemaker. She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, VFW Ladies Auxiliary and a lifetime member of the Cloud County Genealogical Society. Marie enjoyed gardening and genealogy research. She is survived by her sons, Bernard (Jan Henshaw), Concordia, Lawrence (Cathy), Pittsburg, KS, Richard (Diane), James (Cathy ), Anthony(Mary), Thomas (Crystal Wilson), all of Concordia & Dale (Kim), Benton, AR; daughters, Elizabeth Deneke (Mike), Amarillo, TX, Margaret Colgrove (Dwight), Washington, KS & Kathleen Schmidt (Russ), Concordia; sister, Irene Kearn, Concordia; brother in law, Wayne Kearn, Concordia; 24 grandchildren & 22 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Omer; parents; infant son, Theodore; grandson, Brian Deneke & sisters, Lorena Kearn & Arlene LeDuc. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM, Fri., May 18, 2012 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Concordia with Rev. Barry Brinkman officiating. Burial will follow the services at St. Peter's Cemetery, Aurora , KS . Visitation will be held from 9 AM to 9 PM, Thurs., May 17, 2012 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home with an Altar Society Rosary at 5 PM & Vigil services at 6:30 PM. The family suggests memorials to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church or the Cloud County Genealogical Society in care of the funeral home.
