Marjorie "Marge" E.
Moore, 83 years of age, of Concordia, passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2013 in
Concordia. She was born on January 26, 1930 at Washington to John and Anna
Marie (Schinold) Burnett. Marge graduated from Washington County High School in
1948. In 1951, she graduated from Mt. Joseph School of Nursing. Marge married
Everett "Wimp" Moore on November 24, 1952 in Washington. She was a Registered
Nurse for 34 years and began her nursing career at Washington County Hospital
but spent over 20 years working at St. Joseph Hospital in Concordia. Marge was
a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Altar Society, and the
VFW Auxiliary. She enjoyed crafts, sewing, gardening, and especially spending
time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Marge is survived by 4
daughters, Monica Grant and husband Terry, Marsha Bombardier and husband Tim,
both of Concordia; Martha Bombardier and husband Tom of Salina, Margaret Walker
and husband Don of Concordia; a son, Gerald Moore and wife Aggie of Concordia;
15 grandchildren, Christy Leiszler and husband Rod, John Grant and wife
Natalie, Darren Grant and wife Brandi, Justin Grant, Daniel Grant, Lacey
Sanderson and husband Dan, Brittany Moore, Bryan Bombardier and wife Michelle,
Kellen Bombardier and wife Regan, Tony Bombardier and wife Kim, Molly Gravens
and husband Chris, Meghan Bombardier, Roger Walker, Rita Rombaoa, Keenan
Walker; 18 great grandchildren; brother, Albert Burnett of Rochester,
Minnesota; sister, Lucelia McCawley of Cincinnati, Ohio; and several nieces and
nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Everett "Wimp" Moore
on August 29, 2009; son, John Moore; great granddaughter, Bliss Brielle
Gravens; 3 brothers; and 2 sisters.
Mass of Christian
Burial Memorial Services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, May 10, 2013 at Our
Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Concordia with Rev. Msgr. Barry
Brinkman officiating. Inurnment will follow in the St. Concordia Cemetery in
Concordia. Cremation has taken place but a register book will be available from
9 AM to 9 PM Thursday, May 9, 2013 with an Altar Society Rosary at 5 PM and a
Vigil Service at 6:30 PM at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home in Concordia. Memorials
are suggested to Meadowlark Hospice and the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic
Church Altar Society in care of the funeral home.
Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home in Concordia is in charge of arrangements.
