Mary Ann Chartier, age 82, passed away peacefully on, Thursday, February 21, 2019 at Cloud County Health Center, Concordia, Kansas.  Mary Ann was born on July 23, 1936 in Concordia, Kansas to Emery W. and Rena M. (Paquette) Sorell.

Mary Ann was a 1954 graduate of Clyde High School.

She married Charles Keith Chartier on June 19, 1954 in St. Joseph Catholic Church, St. Joseph, Kansas.

Mary Ann was a Secretary at the Lincoln School for USD #333 in Concordia.

She loved crafts, antiquing, flowers, gardening, bird watching, and most of all spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Mary Ann is survived by her, brother, Dean Sorell (Rama), Winfield, KS.; sister, Sandy Brown, McLoud, OK.; 3 daughters, Peg Sholtz (Rich) Chapman, KS.; Linda LeClair, Concordia, KS.; Pam Perry (Mark), Chapman, KS.; 2 sons, Steve Chartier (Linda) and Jim Chartier (Ambrea) both of Concordia, KS.; 8 grandchildren, Jeremy Sholtz, Kelly Frazier, Stacie Champlin, Erin Perry, Lauren Perry, Keeton Snavely, Ambriana Snavely, Millie Chartier, 2 step-grandchildren, Erin Burchfiel (Jeff), and Zach McGuire, and 11 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles, parents, Emery and Rena.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Monday, March 11, 2019 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia, Kansas.

Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at the Guardians of St. Joseph Church, St. Joseph, Kansas with Fr. David Metz officiating.  Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, St. Joseph, Kansas.
