Mary Patricia "Pat" Hatton, age 85, of Concordia, KS, passed away on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family in Concordia, KS.  She was born on June 9, 1936 in Beloit, Kansas to Edward "John" J. & Rebecca (Larreau) Shaffer.

She was a 1954 graduate of Superior High School, Superior, Nebraska.

She married Dale Hamilton in 1954 in Belleville, Kansas.  He preceded her in death.  She later married L.E. "Doc" Hatton in 1962 in Concordia, Kansas.  He also preceded her in death.

Pat was a member of the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Concordia, Kansas.

She loved watching KU Basketball and was a true fan.  Pat also enjoyed the KC Royals, but most of all she loved following her grandchildren and great grandchildren in all their endeavors and sporting events.

She is survived by her daughter, Shelly Horkman (Steve), Concordia; sons, Jeff Hamilton, (Judy), Hutchinson, KS; Joe Hatton (Donna), Salina, KS; a sister, Nancy Fish, Superior, NE; 9 grandchildren, Jeromy Horkman (Liz); Jenny Horkman; Lacy Holbert (Adam); Jeff Hamilton (Jenny); Jacob Hamilton (Betty); Justin Hatton (Michelle); Rosey Boyles (Brett); Donna Gayle Wasden (Stephen); Charlie Wasden; 10 great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Hunter, Deekon, Ayden, Rowdee, Leighton, Holden, Knox, Sophie, Roselynn, Finnegan & several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded by her parents;  1 ^st husband, Dale Hamilton, 2 ^nd husband, L.E. "Doc" Hatton; sisters, Barbara Jean Shaffer, Martha Welch, Dorothy Jensen, Marjorie Kirby and one infant sister.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 24, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia, Kansas. Family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home.

It was Pat's wishes to be cremated and a Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m., February 25, 2022 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Concordia with Fr. David Metz officiating.  A Parish Rosary will be prayed at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service on Friday morning at the church, Led by Fr. David Metz.  After the Memorial Mass a Luncheon will be served for family and friends.

The Burial of the cremains will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 25, 2022 at the Elmwood Cemetery in Beloit, Kansas.
