Mary Mar Stolzenburg, age 63, died Sun., Sept. 23, 2012 at Salina Regional Health Center , Salina , KS . She was born on Feb. 11, 1949 at Concordia , KS to Myron & Sarah (Higgins) Mitchell. Mary graduated from Concordia High School and attended Beloit Vo-Tech. She married James Stolzenburg on July 28, 1968 at Trinity United Methodist Church , Concordia. She was a homemaker and school bus driver in the Concordia and later Clifton-Clyde School Districts for 27 years until her retirement this past February. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church . Mary Mar enjoyed photography and scrapbooking. She is survived by her husband, James; sons, Jay & wife Susan, Salina & Mark & wife Michelle, McPherson ; 8 grandchildren; brother, Charles Mitchell, Oklahoma City, OK & sisters, Wanda Owen, Ellsinore, MO & Connie Mitchell, Salina. She was preceded in death by her parents & brother, Jack. Funeral services will be 10 AM, Fri, Sept. 28 at Trinity United Methodist Church with Pastor Joe Koechner officiating. Burial will follow the services at Pleasant Hill Cemetery , Concordia. Visitation will be from 9 am to 9 pm with family greeting from 7-8 pm Thurs. at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home. The family suggests memorials to the church or Clifton Ambulance Fund in care of the funeral home.
