Mason Sam Berk, age 14, of Concordia, left this earthly life on Sat., March 30, 2019 at Cloud County Health Center, Concordia as a result of an accidental firearm discharge.  He was born on March 25, 2005, the son of Brad & Kay (Dorman) Berk.

Mason was an 8 ^th grade student at Concordia Junior High School.  He was a member of the Hill & Dale 4-H Club, CHS Trap Club, FFA, Pheasants Forever and Concordia Lutheran Church.

Mason was every bit a teenage boy, he loved hunting, being outdoors, country music, woodworking, K-State, the Chiefs and Royals but especially farming with his Dad.  He had a heart bigger than life itself and loved his family, friends and acting silly or goofy.

He is survived by his parents; sisters, Morgan Henderson (Casey), Goodland & Lindsey Berk, Concordia; brothers, Brice, Colton & Joe Berk, Concordia & Trent Baker, Concordia; grandparents, Dale & Linda Berk; aunts, Elizabeth Turner (Clayton), Wichita, Chris Kressley (Craig), Lucas, KS & Jody Halfhide (Tim), Concordia; uncles, Bill Dorman (Vikki), Hancock, MI &  Brad Mason, Concordia; his godparents, Jeff & Jodi Baker, Concordia & a host of cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his great grandparents; grandparents, Sam & Winnie Dorman & aunt, Becky Mason.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 am, Thursday, April 4, 2019 at the Brown Grand Theatre with Nancy Mitchell, PMA & Jim Winter, PMA officiating.  Burial will follow at Nelson Cemetery, Huscher, KS.  Visitation will be Wed., April 3, 2019 from 1-8 pm with family greeting friends from 6-8 pm all at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to River Valley Shooting Sports or the CHS Trap Club in care of the funeral home.    For online condolences, please visit www.chaputbuoy.com.
