Obituary

Maxine M. Tebow was born on August 26, 1914 in Hoyt, Kansas to Frank & Effie (Lewis) Miller. She passed from this life on Thursday, March 26, 2009 at her daughter's home in Wichita, Kansas. Maxine was married to Roy P. Holthaus in 1942-1950. She married Clair A. Tebow on Oct. 15, 1950 in Jamestown, KS where she remained a resident for the next 55 years until she moved to Wichita with her daughter for the last 4 years. Maxine worked for Dotson's Cafe and then as a nurses aid at Cheyenne Lodge Nursing Home all in Jamestown, KS. She volunteered her time with at the Jamestown Library and Senior Citizens Center in Jamestown. Maxine was a member of the United Methodist Church in Jamestown. Maxine was an avid gardener. Maxine is survived by her daughters, Delores Alcorn & hus Ben, Wichita, KS & Ruby Babcock, Pittsburg, KS; 13 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren & 4 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Roy & Clair; son, Richard Holthaus; her parents; 2 brothers & 1 grandson. Funeral services will be held at 10 AM, Tues., March 31, 2009 at the United Methodist Church, Jamestown, Kansas. Visitation will be held from 9 AM to 9 PM with the family receiving friends from 7-8 PM Mon., March 30, 2009 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia. The family suggests memorials to the United Methodist Church, Jamestown.
