Mildred I. Andrewson was born in Rural Clifton, KS in Washington County to Josh & Nellie (Sager) Williams. She passed from this life on Monday, Feb. 1, 2010 at Sunset Nursing Home, Concordia at the age of 96. Mildred graduated from Clifton High School. She married Harold Andrewson on June 6, 1934 in Agenda, KS. Mildred & Harold farmed near Brantford. They lived in California until returning to Clyde in 1974. He preceded her in death on Oct. 26, 1984. Mildred was a bookkeeper for Park Villa Nursing Home, Clyde & worked in dietary at Sunset Nursing Home, Concordia. She was a longtime Avon sales representative. Mildred was an accomplished piano player and taught piano lessons. Mildred later received her CNA certification at age 70. She was a member of the Brantford Covenant Church, a member of the Graduates, the Covenant Women & taught Sunday School all at the church. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary, Clyde & the American Legion Auxiliary, Clifton. Mildred was a former member of the Clyde Area Foundation. She is survived by her sister in law: Pauline Nelson & husband Morris, Clyde, KS & several nieces, nephews, great nieces & great nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; parents; brother, Harold Williams & sister, Myrna Johnson Dageforde. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM, Sat., Feb. 6, 2010 at Brantford Covenant Church, Clyde, KS with Rev. Russell Sizemore officiating. Burial will follow the services at the Brantford Covenant Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12-8 PM, Fri., Feb. 5, 2010 at Chaput Mortuary, Clyde. The family suggests memorials to the Brantford Covenant Church in care of the funeral home.
