Mona Andersen, age 62, passed away at her home in Jamestown, KS on Sun., March 1, 2015, peacefully surrounded by her family. She was born on Aug. 9, 1952 in Concordia, KS to Leonard & Kathryn (Kempkes) Swiercinsky.

Mona graduated from Belleville High School and later Cloud County Community College. She worked for the phone company after college and later was an office administrator for the school system and worked with her husband, Eric at Waddell & Reed, Concordia. She married C. Eric Andersen on Feb. 7, 1976 in Belleville, KS. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Concordia & served on the Jamestown Library Board. She was active in her children's lives and their activities in high school. She especially enjoyed camping, gardening & traveling to visit her children.

She is survived by her husband, Eric Andersen, Jamestown; daughter, Jaime Brown (Dave), State College, PA; son, Chad Andersen, Nashville, TN; grandson, Axel Brown, State College, PA; mother, Kathryn Swiercinsky, Savannah, GA; sister, Lynette Uhrich, Savannah, GA; brothers, Ron Swiercinsky (Stevie), Belleville, Randy Swiercinsky (Lori), Cuba, KS & Dan Swiercinsky (Stacey), Henderson, NV & numerous nieces & nephews.

She was preceded by her father, Leonard.

Funeral services will be 10:30 am, Fri., March 6, 2015 at the First United Methodist Church, Concordia with Rev. Tessa Zehring officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Concordia. Visitation will be on Thurs., March 5, 2015 from 9 am to 9 pm with family greeting friends from 6-8 pm all at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home. The family suggests memorials to the Family's Choice in care of the funeral home.
