Nancy R. Jones was born on April 19, 1946 in Concordia, KS to Ray & Mabel (Perkins) Odette. She passed from this life on Monday, Sept. 20, 2010 at Salina Regional Medical Center, Salina, KS at the age of 64. Nancy graduated from Clyde High School. She married Larry Jones on Feb. 13, 1971 in Clyde, KS. Nancy owned and operated The Hairline in Clyde for over 40 years until her retirement in late 2006. Nancy was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Clyde. Nancy was a lifelong resident of Clyde. Nancy is survived by her husband: Larry Jones, Clyde, KS; son: Mark Jones & wife Robyn, Richardson, TX; grandchild: Hayley Jones, Richardson, TX; father: Ray Odette, Clyde, KS; brother: Randy Odette & wife Mary, Wichita, KS & 3 nieces & 3 nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother & brother, Marc Sklenicka. Funeral services will be held at 10 AM, Thursday, Sept. 23, 2010 at the United Methodist Church, Clyde, KS with Rev. Anita Strommen officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 AM to 8 PM with the family greeting friends from 7-8 PM, Wed., Sept. 22, 2010 at Chaput Mortuary, Clyde. Burial will follow the services at the Mount Hope Cemetery, Clyde. The family suggests memorials to the Clyde Ambulance Fund in care of the funeral home.
