Norma S. Conn was born on April 28, 1951 at Beloit, KS to Gilbert & Ila (Abram) McElroy. She passed from this life on Thursday, Nov. 12, 2009 at Mitchell County Hospital, Beloit at the age of 58. Norma graduated from Jewell High School and then attended Beloit Vo-Tech. She married Dennis A. Conn on Sept. 12, 1970 in Jewell, KS. Norma worked as the District Clerk for USD 279. Norma was a member of the Randall/Jewell United Methodist Church and also attended the Randall Community Church where she played the piano for services. She taught Sunday School & loved her family, farm and gardening. She enjoyed attending her children & grandchildren's activities and was an avid KU basketball fan. She is survived by her husband: Dennis Conn, Randall, KS; daughters: Julie Bolte & husband Francis, Randall, KS, Jennifer Joynes, Randall, KS & Jackie Cooper & husband Kade, Jewell, KS; mother: Ila McElroy, Randall, KS; brother: Wayne McElroy & wife Marti, Randall, KS; grandchildren: Jocelyn & Raelyn Bolte, Andrew Cooper & one on the way & several nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Gilbert. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM, Tues., Nov. 17, 2009 at the Randall Community Church, Randall, KS with Rev. Dan Daniels officiating. Visitation will be from 9 AM to 9 PM with the family greeting friends from 6-8 PM, Mon., Nov. 16, 2009 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia. Burial will follow the services at the Randall Cemetery, Randall. The family suggests memorials to the Randall Community Church or the American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home.
