Norman E. Hart, 89 years of age, of Concordia, passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at Mount Joseph Senior Village in Concordia. He was born on January 28, 1923 in Aurora to Jesse and Ethel Mae (Nash) Hart. Norman attended the District 84 Country School. He married Joyce Ellis in 1942 in Vancouver , Washington and later divorced. Norman served his country in the United States Army from 1942 – 1950 where he was in Europe, Panama , and Canada . He worked for Boogaarts from 1950 until his retirement in 1985. Norman was a lifetime member of VFW Post #588.

Norman is survived by 2 daughters, Lonnie Yockers of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, Michelle Reed and husband Doyle of Concordia; 2 sons, Mark Hart and wife Alice of Fremont, Nebraska, Mike Hart of Mountain Grove, Missouri; 7 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchilden; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Danny; 2 brothers, Vernon and Jesse " Wayne "; and 2 infant sisters.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, July 30, 2012 in the Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home in Concordia with Rev. Dean Frazier officiating. Interment will be in the Sulphur Springs Cemetery in Aurora with military rites by the American Legion Post #76 and VFW Post #588. Visitation will be held from noon to 8 PM Sunday, July 29, 2012 with family greeting friends from 6 – 7 PM in the Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home in Concordia. Memorials are suggested to Meadowlark Hospice or the donor's choice in care of the funeral home.
