Olan Richard Hicks, II 67 years of age, formerly of Concordia passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at the Bryan Medical Center West Campus in Lincoln, Nebraska.  He was born on December 3, 1957, in Ely, Nevada, to Olan Richard and Betty Jean (Clark) Hicks I.

Olan served in the United States Army for 12 years and was honorably discharged.

Olan worked as a machinist for Sunflower Manufacturing Company in Beloit and also for Pork Packers International in Downs, Kansas for several years throughout his life.

He enjoyed fishing and traveling and most of all spending time with his beloved grandchildren.

Olan is survived by five children, sons, Olan Hicks III, Phillip Hicks, Joseph Hicks (Marrisa), a daughter, PJ Hicks, and son, Dalton Hicks (Ashley), 6 grandchildren, two, sisters, Debbie Stewart and Bitsie Munoz, and his bestest friend, Cathy Studdard.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Olan and Betty, a infant grandson, his two brothers, Larry and Robert Hicks.

Memorial services will be held at a later time.
