Patricia "Pat" Burchfiel, age 67, died Thurs., Dec. 26, 2013 at Republic Co. Hospital, Belleville. She was born on Jan. 29, 1946 in Concordia, KS to Andrew "Hank" & Louisa (Newcomb) Bergstrom.

Pat graduated from Concordia High School. She married Dennis Burchfiel on July 9, 1964 in Concordia. Pat was a lifelong area resident. She was a homemaker and loved to care for her children, grandchildren & great grandchildren. She made & decorated numerous cakes over the years.

Pat is survived by her husband, Dennis, Concordia; daughters, Brenda Chartier & husband Steve, Clyde & Jennifer Tholstrup & friend Seth Eubanks, Concordia; sons, Brian Burchfiel & friend Ali Elsasser, Concordia & Jeff Burchfiel & wife Erin; sisters, Shirley Lanoue & husband Gerald & Valetta "Lou" Collins, both of Concordia; brothers, Andrew "Jake" Bergstrom, Bonner Springs, KS & George Bergstrom, TX; 9 grandchildren & 2 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers & 1 sister.

Funeral services will be at 10 am, Mon, Dec. 30, 2013 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home with Rev. Dean R. Frazier officiating. Burial will follow the services at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Concordia. Visitation will be from 12-8 pm with the family greeting friends from 5-6 pm, Sunday at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home. The family suggests memorials to the American Diabetes Assoc. or the American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home.
