Obituary
Patricia L. Kuchera, age 84, entered into rest on Thursday, November 23, 2017, at Mt. Joseph Senior Village in Concordia, Kansas. She was born in Concordia, Kansas on January 11, 1933 to William and Mabel (Nelson) Russell.
Patricia married Joseph Kuchera on June 5, 1955 in Concordia, Kansas.
She was a 1951 graduate of Concordia High School.
Patricia worked for Switzer Studio, Gordon Credit and Collections, and Scott's Specialty Supply all of Concordia.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, American Legion Women's Auxiliary, Daughters of American Revolution, The Red Hat Society. Patricia volunteered many hours for the Orphan Train and Cloud County Historical Museum.
She enjoyed sewing, cooking, collecting dolls and most of all spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.
Patricia is survived by her husband Joseph, Concordia, KS.; 2 daughters , Janice Dethloff (Les), Concordia, KS.; Connie Heidenreich (James) Junction City, KS.; 4 grandchildren, Kyle Heidenreich, Emporia, KS.; Allyson Heidenreich, Junction City, KS.; Russell Dethloff, Lincoln, NE.; Jessica Dethloff, Concordia, KS.
She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Cheryl Irene Kuchera.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., at the Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia, Kansas. Family will receive friends from 5 pm – 7 pm.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at the Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia, Kansas, with Rev. Melanie Adams officiating.
Inurnment will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Concordia, Kansas.
Memorial contributions may be given to the American Legion Post #76 in c/o Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home.
