Patsy I. (Copple) Appleby, 72 years of age, of Concordia, passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2013 in her home in Concordia. Patsy battled cancer for 24 years and lost the fight to be with our savior. She was born on February 9, 1941 in Miltonvale to Allen and Clema (Alderson) Copple of Delphos. Patsy graduated from Delphos High School. On May 15, 1995, she married Gary D. Appleby in Concordia.

Patsy is survived by her loving husband, Gary; children, Allen "Jake" (Melissa) Brown of Minneapolis, Edwina (Ron) Olson of Enid, Oklahoma, Kriste (Greg) Rietcheck of Bavaria, Melva (Clifford) Brown, Luciana (Jeromy) Thrash, all of Concordia; step children, Debbie (Randy) Thoman, Laura Hittle, all of Concordia, Rhonda (Tim) Stadel, Beth (Kevin) Umscheid, all of Westmoreland; brother, Marvin (Ronalda) Copple; 3 sisters, Beverly (Austy) Thoman, Joan (Doug) Olson, all of Concordia, Jody (Gerry) Merry of Delphos; 12 grandchildren; 8 step-grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren. She will be loved and missed by everyone. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ronald Zimmerman; and an infant brother.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, June 3, 2013 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Concordia with Rev. Msgr. Barry Brinkman and Pastor Ron Olson officiating. Interment will be in the Saint Paul Catholic Cemetery in Delphos. Visitation will be held from noon to 8 PM Sunday, June 2, 2013 with an Altar Society Rosary at 5 PM and a Vigil Service at 6:30 PM at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home in Concordia. Memorials are suggested to the family's choice in care of the funeral home. Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home in Concordia is in charge of arrangements.
