PAUL A. RICHARD EDINBURG - Paul Albert Richard was born in Concordia, KS. on April 23, 1943 to Matthew and Angeline (Racette) Richard and passed away January 19, 2021 in Edinburg, TX. He married Gladys (Gee Basgall) Leiker on June 13, 2020 in Salina, KS.
Mr. Richard proudly served his country in the Army and Air Force National Guard serving 7 years as a Combat Engineer. He was owner-manager of PG&R Decorating and Auto Glass in Salina later becoming a top salesman for PPG (Pittsburg Paint and Glass) winning multiple awards and certifications.04/23/1943
He was a member the American Legion, Manhattan, KS and VFW, St. Mary's Salina and Jolly Mixers Dance Club of Salina serving as President and Vice-President several years.
He is survived by his wife Gee, of the home; one son, Tony Richard (Sophia Dewey), Mentor, KS; three daughters; Tammy (Doug) Watkins, Salina, KS.; Jennifer (Kris) Antonetti, Lawrence, KS.; and Krystal (Bryan) Hay, Nashville, TN., brother, John (Sandy) Richard, St. George, KS.; two sisters, Maurene (Dan) Miller, Fresno, CA., and Paula Miller, Visalia, CA., 6 grandchildren; 2 stepchildren; DeAnn (Jason) Laymance, Lawton, OK., and Daniel Leiker, Russell, KS., 3 step-grandchildren and 3 step-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Donald Richard. It was Paul's wishes to be cremated.
It was Paul's wishes to be cremated. A private Celebration of Life graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m., May 27, 2021 at the St. Concordia Cemetery, Concordia with Fr. David Metz officiating. Military Honors will be conducted by the Ft. Riley Big Red One, Ft. Riley, Kansas and American Legion Post #76 and V.F.W. Post #588, Concordia, Kansas.
