Paula (Crim) Bray, 65 years of age, of Aurora, passed away unexpectedly after injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident Saturday, August 9, 2014 at Salina Regional Health Center in Salina. She was born on May 1, 1949 in La Grange, Kentucky to Norman and Pat (Patterson) Crim. Paula attended Mankato High School in Mankato and the nursing program at Beloit Vo-Tech in Beloit where she received her LPN. She married Gerald Bray on March 11, 1983 in Concordia. Paula had a great heart and loved everyone she knew. She was passionate about helping the elderly by working several years at Sunset Nursing Center. Paula enjoyed singing, reading, crocheting, had a love for music, and enjoyed spending time with her family.
Paula is survived by her husband, Gerald; 4 children, Robert "Bob" Putman of Aurora, Dwayne Bray of Orchard, Colorado, Taunya Kreie and husband Ed, Charles Bray and wife Tammy, both of Concordia; 10 grandchildren; mother, Pat Patterson of Beloit; and a sister, Connie Senters and husband Mike of Scottsville. She was preceded in death by her father; granddaughter, Hallie Putman; and an infant sister, Annette Crim.
The family will hold a memorial service at 10:00 AM Friday, August 15, 2014 in the Jamestown United Methodist Church in Jamestown with Pastor Randy Whitley officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date. There will be no visitation. Memorials are suggested to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in care of the funeral home. Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home in Concordia is in charge of arrangements.
