Pauline G. Gibson was born on Aug. 20, 1920 in Hastings, Iowa to Lonnie & Pearl (Warren) Gustin. She passed from this life on Saturday, July 25, 2009 at Cloud County Health Center, Concordia at the age of 88. Pauline grew up in Hastings, Iowa where she attended and graduated from high school. She married Paul Pace in 1938, who preceded her in death. She later married Cletus Gibson on Aug. 4, 1962 in Concordia. He preceded her in death on Jan. 18, 1993. Pauline was a clerk at the Baron's Motel before working in the dietary department at Mt. Joseph Senior Village for 16 years until her retirement in 1990. She was a resident of Mt. Joseph since 1999. Pauline enjoyed gambling and especially enjoyed playing bingo. She is survived by a step-daughter: Lila Lee Mitchell, Beloit, KS; step sons: Bill Gibson, Buckner, MO, Norman Gibson & wife Denise, Wichita Falls, TX & Dean Gibson & wife Arlene, Wakeeney, KS & several grandchildren, great grandchildren & great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Paul Pace & Cletus Gibson, her parents & a step son, Bobby Gibson.  A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, July 30, 2009 at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Concordia with Rev. John States officiating. Visitation will be from 8 AM to 5 PM, Wed., July 29, 2009 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home. The family suggests memorials to the Pauline Gibson Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home.
