Pauline M. Vignery was born on Feb. 12, 1921 in Concordia, KS to David & Rachel (Hill) Strait. She passed from this life on Thursday, Feb. 18, 2010 at Cloud County Health Center, Concordia at the age of 89. Pauline married Ernest Vignery on Dec. 30, 1938 at Mankato, KS. He preceded her in death on May 10, 1996. Pauline worked at Seymore Packing and was a homemaker. She was a lifetime resident of Cloud County. Pauline was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, the Altar Society and VFW Post #588 Ladies Auxiliary. Pauline loved being a mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. She is survived by her son: Ken Vignery & wife Sue, Concordia, KS; daughter: Karen Joslyn & husband Ron, Hoxie, KS; sister: Joan Demanette, Concordia, KS; brothers: Mel Strait, Salina, KS & William Strait, Aurora, CO; 8 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren & 1 great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest; parents; 6 brothers & 2 sisters. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM, Sat., Feb. 20, 2010 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Concordia with Rev. Barry Brinkman officiating. Visitation will be held from 1-9 PM with an Altar Society Rosary at 5 PM and Vigil services at 6:30 PM Fri., Feb. 19, 2010 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home. Burial will follow the services at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Concordia. The family suggests memorials to the Donor's Choice in care of the funeral home.
