Pearl I. Demars was born in on Dec. 3, 1921 in Aurora, KS to Lloyd & Helen (Collins) Lawrence. She passed from this life on Wed., March 11, 2009 at Cloud County Health Center, Concordia, KS at the age of 87. Pearl married Harold Demars on June 16, 1941 in Aurora, KS. He preceded her in death on Aug. 13, 1987. Pearl & Harold farmed in the Aurora, KS area for many years until moving to Concordia. They were residents of Cloud Co. for most of their lives. She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, Aurora. In her later years, Pearl enjoyed playing cards, reading & sewing. She is survived by her daughters, Dianne LaBonte & hus. Jim, Aurora, KS & Ellouise Marshall & husband Norris, Abilene, KS; a brother, Delbert Lawrence, Clovis, CA; sisters, Ilamae Elliott, Camarillo, CA; Laura Lohmeyer & hus. James, St. Marys, KS, Shirley Chartier & hus. Richard, Clyde, KS & Geneva Hendricks & hus. Neal, Oxnard, CA; 4 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren & 4 step great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; parents; sisters, Marie McGee & Ruth Lawrence & son in law, Bobby Thoman. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM, Monday, March 16, 2009 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Concordia with Rev. Barry Brinkman officiating. Visitation will be held from 1-8 PM, Sunday, March 15, 2009 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home. Burial will follow the services at St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery, Aurora, KS. The family suggests memorials to Cloud County Health Center Foundation.
