Phyllis R Cyphers, 82 years of age, of Concordia passed away Saturday, October 21, 2023, at Salina Regional Health Center in Salina, Kansas.  She was born on October 5, 1941, in Concordia, Kansas to Lloyd and Ilene (Bray) McGinnis.

Phyllis was a 1959 graduate of Concordia High School.

On April 23, 1961, she married Richard "Dick" L. Cyphers in Concordia, Kansas.  They celebrated 61 years of marriage this past April of 2022.  To this Union three children were born, Eric, Stephanie, and Jeff.  Dick preceded Phyllis in death on July 17, 2022.

Phyllis and Dick were area farmer's until moving into town in 1988.

She was a past member of the Elks and Moose Lodge, both of Concordia.

Phyllis's hobbies included crocheting, sewing, and making porcelain dolls.  She also enjoyed going to Tuesday coffee club at Marls Joy's.

Survivors include her beloved JoJo of the home in Concordia, KS; son, Eric Cyphers (Meliss), Yucaipa, CA; daughter, Stephanie Scheele (Jeff), Bennington, KS; son, Jeff Cyphers, Jamestown, KS.

Sister-in-law, Patricia Wright (Dee), Palm Harbor, FL.

9 grandchildren, Callie (Marc), Tami (Daniel), Kimi (Christopher), Brittany (Daniel), Lucas, Linsey, Deric (Jasmyn), Brittany and Marissa; 8 great-grandchildren, Aiden, Lee, Owen, Lexie, Reagan, Dillon, Clayton, and Kensley.

She was preceded by her husband, Dick, parents, Lloyd, and Ilene.

Visitation will be held from 1-8 p.m., Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at the Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6-7 pm.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Thursday, October 26, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia, Kansas, with Samantha Stensaas celebrating her life. The burial of the cremains will take place later in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Concordia, Kansas.
