Phyllis A. Winter, age 74, died Wed., March 5, 2014 at Cloud County Health Center, Concordia. She was born on Nov. 20, 1939 in Concordia, KS to James & Mary (Cote) Breen.

Phyllis graduated from Notre Dame Catholic High School. She married Willis "Willie" D. Winter on Feb. 24, 1958. She was a secretary/bookkeeper for Palmquist Drug Store, Associate Financial & various other businesses. She was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her husband, Willis "Willie", Concordia; sons, Casey Winter & wife Teresa, Great Bend, John Winter & Mike Winter, both of Concordia; brothers, Jim Breen & wife Sheila, Olathe & Bob Breen, Laughlin, NV; sisters, Margaret Breen, Topeka, Jane Rea & hus. Mike, Wichita & Pat Hoover & hus. John, Clearwater; grandchildren, Angie Stoney & hus. Jerred, Preston Winter, Stacy Winter & Lake Winter & 3 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents & sisters, Dolores Sherbert & Christine Breen.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Sat., March 8, 2014 at Concordia Lutheran Church with Rev. David Strommen officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 am to 9 pm with the family greeting friends from 6-7 pm, Friday, March 7, 2014 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home. The family suggests memorials to Concordia Lutheran Church in care of the funeral home.
