Obituary

Raymond J. Hubert was born on July 19, 1930 in Concordia, Kansas to Joseph R. and Ida L. Dumas Hubert.  He passed from this life on Tuesday, January 29, 2008 at Cheyenne Lodge Nursing Home in Jamestown, Kansas at the age of 77.  He married Rosella Marie Charbonneau in June 14, 1954 at St. Joseph, KS.  He grew up in Cloud County, KS.  He lived all of his married life in Concordia, KS except for 5 years in Morganville, KS from 1959 to 1964.  He was employed by Ross Sand Company of Concordia, G & T Manufacturing of Clay Center, City of Morganville and then the City of Concordia until becoming disabled in 1974.  He served four years in the United States Army Reserves and twenty years in the 891st Engineering Battalion, Kansas National Guard.  He was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, The New Life Prayer Group and Concordia Senior Citizen's Center.  He is survived by his wife Rosella, Concordia, KS; sons, Richard Hubert, Lansing, KS, Lawrence Hubert and wife Gena, Wichita, KS and Christopher Hubert and wife Kimberleigh, Concordia, KS; daughters, Carol Urban and hus. Joe, Concordia, KS and Diane Snavely and hus. LeRoy, North Pole, AK; sisters, Annetta LaBarge and hus. Everette, Abbeville, LA and Rosanna Charbonneau and hus. Armand, Marysville, KS; 17 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Michael; daughters, Mary and Linda and a sister, Joyce.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2008 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Concordia, KS with Rev. Barry Brinkman officiating.  Burial will follow the services at St. Concordia Cemetery, Concordia, KS.  Visitation will he held on Friday, February 1, 2008 from 9 AM to 9 PM with vigil services at 6:30 PM Friday all at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home.  The family suggests memorials to the Parkinson's Assoc. or Concordia Senior Citizen's Center.
