Raymond E. Stein was born on Oct. 10, 1917 in Rural Cloud Co., KS to George & Edna Stein. He died on Thurs., Dec. 8, 2011 at The Nicol Home, Glasco, KS at the age of 94. Raymond graduated from Miltonvale High School. He then attended Miltonvale Wesleyan and later graduated from Kansas State University. He received his law degree from Washburn University in Topeka. Raymond was a lifetime Cloud Co. resident and practiced law in Beloit, KS for 60 years as well as an area farmer. He married Sadie (Ross) Goddard on Jan. 16, 1966 in Concordia. Raymond was a lifetime member of Moose Lodge #1428. He is survived by his son, Michael Stein & wife Christie, Rural Miltonvale, KS; daughter, Lisa Stein, Beloit, KS; sister, Pauline Stephens, Winston-Salem, NC; 5 grandchildren & 2 step grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Sadie on June 24, 2010. It was Raymond's wishes to be cremated and Memorial services will be at 10:30 AM, Tues., Dec. 13, 2011 at Hall Wesleyan Church, Delphos with Rev. Edwin Routson officiating. Burial of the cremains will follow the services at the Hall Cemetery, Delphos. Friends may sign the register book from 9 AM to9 PM, Mon. at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home with the family greeting friends from 6-8 PM. The family suggests memorials to the Shriner's Hospital for Children in care of the funeral home.
