Raymond C. West was born on Oct. 24, 1919 in Kokomo, IN to Earl & Maude West. He passed from this life on Sunday, March 29, 2009 at his home in Concordia, KS at the age of 89. Raymond married Sally Jackson on Oct. 19, 1953 in Kokomo, Indiana. They have been married for 55 years. Raymond served in the US Army during WWII. He was an auto body repairman all his life. Raymond was a member of American Legion Post #76. He is survived by his wife, Sally West, Concordia, KS; daughters, Annie Desmarais & husband Dave, Clay Center, KS, Marie White & husband Jim, Concordia, KS & Chris Hartley & husband Don, Concordia, KS; sons, Jerry Jordan & wife Diana, Kokomo, IN, Robert Jordan & wife Pat, Kokomo, IN, Everett West, Kokomo, IN, Jeff West & wife Leslie, Indianapolis, IN, Mike West, Concordia, KS, Carl West, Concordia, KS & Ray Nash & wife Lois, Clay Center, KS; 28 grandchildren; 52 great grandchildren & 4 great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by sons, David West, Nelson Johnson, Charles Nash; 2 grandsons & 1 great grandson. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thurs., April 2, 2009 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home with Pastor Cory Shipley officiating. Visitation will be held from 9 AM to 9 PM, Wed., April 1, 2009 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home. Burial will follow the services at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Concordia with Military Honors conducted by Ft. Riley. The family suggests memorials to the Raymond C. West Memorial Fund.
