Obituary
Richard Robert Paquette, age 80, entered into rest on Sunday, August 19, 2018 at the Salina Regional Health Center, in Salina, Kansas. He was born November 14, 1937, rural Clyde, Kansas to Albert and Catherine (LaBarge) Paquette.
Richard attended Notre Dame Catholic High School and graduated Concordia High School in the Class of 1955.
He married Judith Cope at the Baptist Church in Concordia, Kansas on October 11, 1959.
Richard loved spending time with his family and especially his granddaughter and great grandchildren. He served in the United States Army National Guard for 6 years. He cherished and was devoted to His God, his wife, his family and his country always flying the American flag with pride. Richard worked as a lineman and later serviceman for West Plains Energy for 39 years until his retirement. After retiring, Richard also did seasonal work for the Glen Elder State Park.
He is survived by his wife, Judith of the home in Beloit, KS.; daughter, Cynthia Paquette, Dresden, Germany, son, Michael Paquette (Andrea), Blue Eye, MO.; 2 sisters, Julia McGinnis (Garry), Cawker City, KS.; Linda Bailey (Maurice), Deltona, FL.; brother, Alvin Paquette (Dianne), Manhattan, KS.; 3 sisters in law, Anne Paquette, Beatrice, NE; Patricia Paquette, Newton, KS; Patricia Cory (John), Concordia, KS; 2 brothers in law, Kenneth Heater, Willcox, AZ; William B. Cope, Orroville, CA; a granddaughter, Nina Rae Kellner (Timothy), Park City, KS. and their 3 children, Amber, Natalie, and Ethan Kellner.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 sisters, Marcelline Gillen, Pauline Benefiel, Alberta Heater, 3 brothers, Isidore, Ernest, and Leland Paquette.
Family will hold a private graveside service at a later time.
