Obituary

Rita Marie Bombardier Layton, age 91, passed away on Monday, May 7, 2007 at Cloud County Health Center, Concordia, KS. She was born on July 16, 1915 to Francis and Ida Marie (Chaput) Bombardier in Rural Jamestown, Kansas. She attended Beloit Parochial School. She married D.L. "Heavy" Layton on June 3, 1940 in California, he survives the home. She was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Ann's Society, Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church and the Altar Society. Survivors include: her husband D.L. "Heavy", daughter: Marie E. Higgins and husband Larry, and son Robert A. Layton & wife Janet, both of Salina, Kansas; 8 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00AM, Wednesday, May 9, 2007 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Concordia, with the Rev. Barry Brinkman, presiding. Visitation will be from 9AM to 9PM, Tuesday, May 8, 2007 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home with an Altar Society Rosary at 5:00PM. The family suggests memorials be made to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church or to Mount Joseph Senior Community.
