Robert E. Aytes, Sr., passed away April 30, 2009, in Peoria, IL at the age of 72. He was born April 5, 1937 in Owensville, MO to Jean Pryor and Raymond Aytes. He married Dolores Regnier in November 1957. They were divorced in 2004. Survivors include two daughters, Debra Morales & husband Joe of Concordia & Annette Lawson of Stockton, CA; three sons, Robert Jr. and wife Jacquie of Topeka, KS, James and wife Lisa of Concordia & Greg and wife Jodi of North Richland Hills, TX; two brothers, Emmitt of Concordia and Jim Holt of Neenak, WI; two sisters, Helen Osborn and Margaret Reiter of Carroll, IA; 20 grandchildren & 7 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, stepfather, Albert Nightingale and half brother, Roy. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM on Tues., May 12, 2009 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia with Rev. Barry Brinkman officiating. Friends may sign the register book from 9 AM until 5 PM, Mon., May 11, 2009 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home. Burial of the cremains will follow the services at St. Concordia Cemetery, Concordia. The family wishes to invite friends to join them for lunch at Noon, after the services at the American Legion, Concordia.  In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to the Robert E. Aytes, Sr. Memorial Fund.
