Robert E. "Bob" Johnson, 63 years of age, of Concordia, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, June 2, 2012 at Cloud County Health Center in Concordia. He was born on October 2, 1948 in Beloit to Donald and Edith (Abram) Johnson and grew up in Randall. On April 26, 1969, Bob was united in marriage to Patricia "Pat" Hallgren. To this union were born Michelle, Troy , and Trisha. Bob worked for the Cloud County Coop for the past 43 years, and was the General Manager at the time of his death. He was a Vietnam Era Veteran. He was a devoted family man, an avid KU fan, and passionate about his greatest hobby, Johnson Racing. Bob was a member of the American Legion Post #76.

Bob is survived by his wife, Pat; daughter, Michelle and her sons Jett and Easton of Manhattan; son, Troy and wife Jeni and their children Skye and Dayton of Concordia; daughter, Trisha Beggs and husband Casey of Manhattan; father, Donald Johnson; brother, Danny Johnson, both of Topeka; sister, Linda Goodwin and husband Larry of Wichita; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles. He was preceded in death by his mother, Edith; and a niece, Amy Goodwin-Robbins.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at the First United Methodist Church in Concordia with Rev. Tessa Zehring officiating. Interment will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Concordia with Military Rites by Ft. Riley personnel. Visitation will be held from 9 AM to 9 PM Tuesday, June 5, 2012 with family greeting friends from 6:30 PM to 8 PM at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home in Concordia. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Bob Johnson Education Fund for his grandchildren in care of the funeral home.
