Robert "Bob" Keith Hewitt, 85, of Concordia, Kansas, passed away on September 19, 2025, in Wichita, Kansas surrounded by his children.

He was born in Hanover, Kansas on May 13, 1940, to Kenneth and Beulah (Towns) Hewitt. He attended Concordia schools and joined the US Navy before graduating, later earning his GED. He served as an aircraft crew chief in the Navy and later worked for Beech and Martin Marietta.

Bob married Marcia Chartier in 1959. This union brought four children: Richard, Donald, Kathleen, and Michelle. They later divorced. He went on to marry Barbara Maine and they enjoyed each other until her death in 2004.

Bob enjoyed target shooting and gunsmithing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Beulah Hewitt, his wife Barbara Hewitt, and great grandson, Patrick K. Hewitt.

Bob is survived by his children, Richard Hewitt (Virginia) of Powder Springs, GA, Donald Hewitt (Denise) of Haysville, KS, Kathleen Smith of Idaho Falls, ID, and Michelle Fischer (Barry) of Salina, KS; grandchildren, Richard Hewitt (Megan), Karena Harris, Chris Hewitt, Heather Pierce, Jessica Hewitt, Brittany Magallanes (German), Marissa Holmes (Dre), Ciera Baldwin (Ryan), Brandon Ingram (Ana), Andrew Steele (Christy), and Ashley McCormick (Brandon); 35 great grandchildren; brother, Kenneth "Kay" Hewitt (Betty); and nephew, Billy Hewitt.

Cremation was chosen and at Bob's request, there will be no service.
