Robert D. Wilson, age 83, left this earthly life on Wed., Oct. 10, 2018, surrounded by his family at his home in Clyde, KS.  He was born on Nov. 2, 1934 in Clyde, KS to Albert R. & Daphna M. (Wurtz) Wilson.

Robert graduated from Clyde High School in 1953.  He married Blanche A. Racette on May 14, 1955 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Clyde.  Robert was a sales manager for many years and primarily sold Conklin Products.   He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Clyde & the Clyde Golf Club.  Robert was an avid golfer, card player, sports fan and hunter.  Robert enjoyed the 'art' of conversation and was always visiting with friends and strangers whenever he was able.  He made the usual rounds to the different coffee groups in Clyde and Concordia.  But most importantly for all those who knew Robert, he was a family man that cherished the time they were able to spend together and was always proud of his family.

He is survived by his wife, Blanche, Clyde; sons, Randy Wilson (Gale), Berryton & Brian Wilson (Brenda), Clyde; daughter, Cindy Francis (Norman), Clyde; brother, James Wilson (Barbara), Kearney, MO; sisters, Catherine Downey & Barbara Welsh (Chris), both of Topeka & Loretta Stevens (Gary), DeSoto; 10 grandchildren;  17 great grandchildren & several nieces & nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; infant brother, Albert & a sister, Nancy Richard.

Funeral Mass will be 10:00 am, Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2018 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Clyde with Fr. Steven Heina officiating.  Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Clyde.  Visitation will be Mon., Oct. 15, 2018 from 1-5 pm at Chaput Mortuary, Clyde and then from 6-7 pm with a Vigil service at 7 pm, Mon. at the church.  The family suggests memorials to Meadowlark Hospice or the Mount Calvary Cemetery Fund in care of the funeral home.  For online condolences, please visit www.chaputbuoy.com.
