Obituary

Roberta L. Link, age 88 of Aurora, KS, died Friday, June 5, 2015 at Mt. Joseph Senior Village, Concordia. She was born on May 20, 1927 in Arion Twp, Cloud County, Kansas to Daniel & Stella (Budreau) Tholstrup.

Roberta was a 1945 Concordia High School Graduate.

She worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company for 30 years as a telephone operator. She also was a homemaker. She married Alvin R. Moe on January 1, 1950 and he preceded her in death on Sept. 19, 1969. She later married Vincent Link on August 9, 1973. Her memberships included, St. Peter's Catholic Church, Meredith Township; St. Mary's Catholic Church, Glasco and Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Concordia; She was a past member of the American Legion Post #76 and VFW Post #588 women's Auxiliary, Concordia.

She is survived by her husband, Vincent, Aurora; son Douglas Moe, Newton; daughters, Rachelle Hower, Salina, Renee Speltz (Nick) Phoenix, AZ & Reta Cailteux (Kevin), Leawood; stepsons, Albert Link (Terri), Littleton, CO, Tom Link (Peggy), Manhattan & Gerald "Jerry" Link (Deanna), Delphos; stepdaughters, Marita Link, Lenexa, Karen Gerstenkorn (Ray), Topeka & Ann Schaefer (Hank), Wichita; Sue Brayton (Mike), Glasco; sister, Carol McCreary (Patrick), Tonganoxie; sister-in-law, Mary Margaret Tholstrup, Concordia; 22 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her, parents, first husband, Alvin Moe; granddaughter, Carrie Brayton, great granddaughter, Millie Fahey Moe & brother, Norman Tholstrup.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, June 11, 2015 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Concordia with Rev. Brian Lager officiating. Burial will follow at St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery, Meredith Twp, Rural Concordia. Visitation will be from 9 AM to 5 PM, Tuesday, June 9, 2015 and from 9 AM to 9 PM with a Vigil service at 6 PM, Wednesday, June 10, 2015 all at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia. Family will receive friends after the Vigil Service. The family suggests memorials to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in care of the funeral home.
