Roger Allen Cormack was born on August 10, 1943, in
Roger enlisted in the Navy in 1963 and served aboard the aircraft carrier, the USS Essex.
His role as a crewman was to set the catapults that launched jet aircraft from the carrier deck.

Roger led a quiet life. He was humble but showed great pride when talking about the accomplishments of his family—especially his nieces and nephews as well as his great nieces and great nephews. He was very close to his parents and provided great assistance to them in their later years. He was close to his family and his beloved dog Daisy.
Roger is survived by his sister Julie (Wayne) Paulsen of Franklin, Ohio; his brother Richard (Fumi) Cormack of Juneau, Alaska; a niece Lisa (Chuck) Knapp of Concordia, Kansas; a niece Lori (Scott) Fast of Overland Park, Kansas; a nephew Bryan Cormack of Juneau, Alaska; and his five great-nieces and great- nephews: Drew, Jared, and Lydia Knapp of Concordia, Kansas and Anthony and Madysen Fast of Overland Park, Kansas. Roger was preceded in death by his father and mother.
