Romeyn Nordell, age 86, Concordia, died, Mon, July 16, 2012 at Sunset Nursing Home, Concordia. She was born Jan. 28, 1926 at Lindsborg, KS to Fritz & Mildred (Walline) Forsberg.
She graduated from Lindsborg High School. Romeyn married Paul Nordell on May 17, 1953. He preceded her on May 17, 2002. She was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her son, Mark (Carleen), Concordia; daughter, Susan Nordell, Okinawa, Japan; grandchildren, Derick, Trevor, Ian & Jara Nordell; sister, Shirley Sjogren (Jon), Wichita; sister in law, Donna Forsberg & many nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul; parents; brother, Kenneth Forsberg & sister, Nadine Sole.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM, Mon., July 23, 2012 at Concordia Lutheran Church with Rev. David Strommen officiating. Burial will be at 1:30 PM, Mon, at Elmwood Cemetery, Lindsborg, KS. Visitation will be from 12-8 PM with family greeting from 7-8 PM, Sun. at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials to Concordia Lutheran Church in care of the funeral home.
