Obituary
Rosalie "Hokey" Lagasse, age 80, entered into rest on Monday, February 19, 2018 at the Stormont Vail Health, in Topeka, Kansas. She was born January 15, 1938 in Concordia, Kansas to Wilbur and Ruth (Walden) McDaniel.
Hokey was a 1956 graduate of Concordia High School. She married Rollie Lagasse on May 28, 1955 in Concordia, Kansas. He preceded her in death on November 27, 1981.
Hokey was a homemaker working on the family farm. She later received her Cosmetology license from Salina Beauty School. Hokey also worked as a Real Estate Agent for Coldwell Banker.
She was a member of the First Christian Church, Concordia.
Hokey enjoyed visiting with her friends and most of all she loved spending time with her two granddaughters.
Hokey is survived by her two granddaughters, Aliss and Genae Lagasse, Topeka, KS.; Son, Ronnie Lagasse, Concordia, KS.; sister, Janet Johnson, Concordia, KS.; sister, Linda Nobert (Larry), Ames, KS.; brother, Michael "Mogie" McDaniel, Topeka, KS.; brother-in-law, Mel Nutter (Diane), Alameda, CA.; brother-in-law, Norman Walton, Concordia, KS.; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rollie, son, Randy Lagasse, daughter-in-law, Diana Snyder, 2 sisters, Nancy Nutter and Marilyn Walton, brother-in-law, Jay Johnson.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 22, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m., at the Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia, Kansas.
Funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m., Friday, February 23, 2018 at the Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia, Kansas, with Pastor Doug Dayton officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Concordia, Kansas.
Memorial contributions may be given to North Central Kansas Down Syndrome Society in c/o Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home.
