Roy L. Anderson, age 88, of Concordia, KS, passed away on Monday, July 26, 2021 at Mount Joseph Senior Village, Concordia.  He was born on July 27, 1932 in Huscher, Kansas to Floyd & Mary (Burch) Anderson, Sr.

Roy was a 1950 graduate of Concordia High School.  After High School Roy was drafted into the United States Army and served during the Korean Conflict.  He was honorably discharged.

Roy enjoyed, hunting, fishing, bowling, needle work and most of all spending time with his family.

On January 26, 1955, Roy and Kay Menard were united in marriage at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Concordia.  She survives of the home.

Roy was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus #1142, Life member of V.F.W. Post #588 all of Concordia.

Roy is survived by his wife, Kay, Concordia; 2 sons, Steven (Susan) Anderson, Hebron, NE; Anthony R. Anderson (Marsha), Sr, Concordia, a daughter, Lesa Bugbee (LaVern), Fairbury, NE; 5 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, a brother, Elton Anderson, sister, Virginia Moss, Wichita, KS.

He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Anthony R. Anderson, Jr., 4 brothers, Floyd, James, Charles, Robert, 4 sisters, Florence, Frances, Dorothy, and Barbara Jean.

Visitation will be held from 1-4 p.m., Thursday, July 29, 2021 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home.   A Parish Rosary with the Knights of Columbus will be led by Fr. David Metz at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, July 29, 2021 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church.  Family will greet friends in the Parish Hall after Rosary.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 am, Friday, July 30, 2021 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Concordia with Fr. David Metz officiating.  Burial will follow at St. Concordia Cemetery, Concordia.
