Roy G. Sanders, age 70, died Wed., Feb. 26, 2014 at Park Villa Nursing Home, Clyde, KS. He was born on June 12, 1943 in Tulsa, OK to George Washington & Mary E. (Guthrie) Sanders.

Roy served in the military during the Vietnam conflict. Roy worked in the oil fields in Oklahoma, construction and a truck driver until he became disabled. He married Mae M. Copple on Jan. 2, 1997. Roy & Mae lived in several towns across Kansas and Oklahoma before settling in the Cloud Co. area

He is survived by his wife Mae, Clyde; daughter, Rachel Gill, Stillwell, OK; son Roy Gill, Jr., Stillwell, OK; half-sister, Judy Johnson, Tulsa, OK; half-brothers, David Johnson (Becky), & Bill Johnson, both of Tulsa, OK; step-sons, Billie Hallack, Burleson, TX & Warren Hallack, Wichita, KS.

He was preceded in death by his parents; half-brother, Frankie Johnson & half-sisters, Wilma & Alma Sanders.

It was Roy's wishes to be cremated. The family will hold Memorial services at a later date. The family suggests memorials to Park Villa Nursing Home or Meadowlark Hospice in care of the funeral home.
