Ruby Hagen, age 82, died Sun.,
Nov. 10, 2013 at the Community Care Home, Clifton, KS.
She was born on March 29, 1931 near Ruskin,
NE to John & Viola (Spohnhimier) Wulf.
Ruby's mother died when she was
young and was raised with her sister, Dorothy by their grandma Spohnhimier in
Hebron, NE.
Ruby was married to Robert
Hagen for 49 years until he preceded her in 2000.
She was later remarried to John Tempel.
Bob & Ruby enjoyed traveling to their
home in Arizona in the winter & Clifton in the summer.
Bob & Ruby opened the first Daylight
Donuts in Concordia in 1969 & several other business ventures
thereafter.
Ruby was known as the 'Donut
Lady'.
She was a member of The Baptist
Church, Concordia and loved to bowl, travel, work, eat and interacting with
people.
She is survived by her
daughters, Vicki Conn & Dan, Concordia & Bobbie Brown & John,
Clifton; sons, Rick Hagen & Vicki, Belleville & Mitchell Hagen,
Clifton; 7 grandchildren & 9 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by Robert
Hagen & John Tempel; her parents; brothers, Kenneth & Lawrence Wulf
& sisters Dorothy Schmidt & Ester Yung.
The family selected cremation and Memorial services will be at 11 am on Wed. Nov. 13 at The Baptist Church with Pastor David Fabarez officiating. Friends may sign the register book from 9 am to 9 pm with family greeting friends from 5-7 pm, Tues. at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials to the Family's Choice or the Arthritis Foundation in care of the funeral home.
