Ruth Trude was born on May 19, 1922 in Clyde, KS to Harrison & Lena Pearl (Woodruf) Chesebro. She passed from this life on Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2010 at Medicalodge of Clay Center, Clay Center, KS at the age of 87. Ruth graduated from Clyde High School. She married John Trude on Jan. 7, 1943 in Concordia, KS and he preceded her in death on Nov. 16, 1991. Ruth was an active member of the O.E.S & enjoyed quilting. She is survived by her daughters: Mary Hinkle & husband Richard, Washington, KS & Katherine Sue Schumock & husband George, Lawrence, KS; 4 grandchildren: 10 great grandchildren & 1 great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, John; parents; brother, Wayne Chesebro & a grandchild. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM, Friday, Jan. 15, 2010 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home with Rev. Helen Rose Moore officiating. Private family burial will be on Sunday, Jan. 17, 2010 at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Concordia. Visitation will be held from 9 AM to 9 PM with the family greeting friends from 7-8 PM Thurs., Jan. 14, 2010 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home. The family suggests memorials to the Ronald McDonald House in care of the funeral home.
