Sandra "Sandy" S. Miller was born on April 14, 1941 in Clyde, KS to Glen & Maxine (Hess) Townsdin. She passed from this life on Monday, July 26, 2010 at the Dialysis Center of Salina, Salina, KS at the age of 69. As a child, Sandy was a member of 4-H. She graduated from Glasco High School in 1959. She married Gerald Miller on Aug. 16, 1958 in Formoso, KS. He survives the home. Sandy was an adjuster for Federal Crop Ins., an asst. postmaster at the Glasco Post Office and the book keeper for the Miller Machine Shop. Sandy was a member and officer of the Glasco Foundation. She is survived by her husband: Gerald Miller, Glasco, KS; daughters: Rhona Cash (Jim), Shawnee, KS & Madonna Bergmann (Bill), Simpson, KS; son: Kevin Miller, Glasco, KS; mother: Marguerite Townsdin, Jamestown, KS; sisters: Illene Hess, Topeka, KS, Shirley Riek (Loren), Clay Center, KS, Patsy Jackson (Bob), Blue Rapids, KS & Carol Bisnette, Concordia, KS; 5 grandchildren & 2 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Glen; mother, Maxine; sister, Jeanette Townsdin & a brother, James Townsdin. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM, Thursday, July 29, 2010 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia with Pastor Dennis McAlister officiating. Visitation will be from 2-9 PM with family greeting friends from 6-8 PM Wed. at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home. It was Sandy's wishes for the casket to remain closed. Burial will follow the services at the Glasco Cemetery, Glasco, KS. The family suggests memorials to the Diabetes Assoc. in care of the funeral home.
