Obituary

Sarah Helen Nicholson was born on March 9, 1920 in Downs, Kansas to Edward and Maggie Young Geisler.  She passed from this life on Friday, December 21, 2007 at Mount Joseph Senior Community in Concordia, Kansas at the age of 87.  S he attended schools in Downs and Tipton. She was a homemaker. She married Paul Zentz on July 20, 1937 in Beloit, KS. He preceded her in death. She later married Lee Nicholson who also preceded her in death. She spent her time living between Concordia, KS and Arizona. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post #76, VFW Post #588 Ladies Auxiliary and the Women of the Moose Lodge #1428 all of Concordia.  She is survived by her daughters, Irene Peak and Audrey Houser and hus. Ray, Concordia, KS;  son, Larry Zentz, Salina, KS; sisters, Louise Pridey, Delphos, KS and Gladys Thomas, Salina, KS; brothers, Bob Geisler, Great Bend, KS, Lincoln Geisler, Olympia, WA and Kenneth Geisler, Rockport, TX; 9 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 18 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husbands, Paul Zentz and Lee Nicholson; sons, Gerald and Everett Zentz; parents; 5 sisters and 4 brothers.  Services will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, December 26, 2007 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia, KS.  Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Concordia, KS.  Visitation will be held from 8 AM to 3 PM on Monday, December 24, 2007 with the family greeting friends from 1-3 PM Monday all at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia, KS.  The family suggests memorials to the American Diabetes Assoc. or the American Heart Assoc.
