Secundina "Connie" Anderson was born on July 1, 1940 in Holly, CO to Marcial & Rosario (Pichardo) Ortiz.  She died on Wed., Jan. 18, 2012 at Sunset Nursing Home, Concordia, KS at the age of 71.  Connie graduated high school in Holly, CO and attended junior college in Lamar, CO.  She married Roger D. Anderson on July 1, 1960 in Lamar, CO.  She worked for UMB Bank for 43 years until her retirement in 2005 as a Vice President.  She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, the Altar Society, Leah Chapter, O.E.S., Daughters of the Nile, Salina Chapter, where served as Queen for a year.  She is survived by her husband, Roger, Concordia, KS; daughters, Annette Gallegos & husband Roberto, Edinburg, TX, Kimberly Anderson, Edinburg, TX & Dana Anderson Pancoe & husband William, Dunedin, FL; sisters, Victoria Abitia, Lamar, CO, Louisa Galloway & husband Robert, Bethany, MO & Cecilia Ortiz, Denver, CO; brothers, John Ortiz & wife Lillian, Denver, CO, Roger Ortiz & wife Glenna, Wadsworth, OH & Marcial Ortiz & wife Magdeline, Greeley, CO & grandsons, Roberto Gallegos & wife Jennifer & Joshua Gallegos and great grandchildren, Saleen & Shelby Gallegos.  She was preceded in death by her parents.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM, Sat., Jan. 21, 2012 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with Rev. Barry Brinkman officiating.  Visitation will be from 9 AM to 9 PM with an Altar Society Rosary at 5 PM and Vigil services at 6:30 PM, Friday at the Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home.  Burial will be in the Riverview Cemetery, Scandia, KS.  The family suggests memorials to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Sunset Nursing Home or the Scandia United Methodist Church in care of the funeral home.
