Obituary

Sheri Lee (Wait) Cyre, age 54, entered into rest, Thurs., Jan. 4, 2018 at her home in Jamestown, KS. She was born on July 3, 1963 in Clay Center, Kansas to Leland M. & Jolene K. (Cramer) Wait.

Sheri grew up in Clay Center, KS. Sheri attended Clay Center Community High School. Sheri attended Cloud County Community College, Concordia and Seward County Community College, Liberal, Kansas.

Sheri married Daniel Cyre on July 19, 1980 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Clay Center, Kansas.

Sheri was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Concordia, Kansas.

Sheri owned and operated Floral Expressions in Concordia for several years. Sheri served as president of Teleflora Regional Board. She received several awards both locally and nationally in Floral Design. She was Kansas Designer of the year numerous times. Sheri volunteered to help with many area civic events. Sheri's life passions were Floral Design, and most of all spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Daniel; son, Matthew Cyre (Brandy), Vici, OK; brother, Joseph Wait, Clay Center; sisters, Karla Choitz (Darrell), Ellsworth, KS; and Penny Smith, Clay Center, KS; 4 grandchildren, Damion and David French, Caitlyn and Cierra Cyre.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be, Tues., Jan. 9, 2018 from 1 to 9 p.m. with a Vigil at 6 p.m. and the family greeting friends after the vigil, all at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m., Wed., Jan. 10, 2018 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Concordia, with Fr. David Metz officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, St. Joseph, KS.
